Gateway Singers Ministry, Inc.
PO Box 65
Centerville, IA 52544
Summer 2010
Gateway Singers Ministry, Inc., is a tax-exempt 501(c) (3), not-for-profit corporation, EIN #26-1648452. Nothing was or will be given in exchange for donations.
OPERATION OF WIRELESS MICROPHONES IN THE 700MHz |
| BAND IS PROHIBITED AFTER JUNE 12, 2010 |
A new FCC ruling states the use of all wireless microphones or monitoring systems that operate on frequencies from 698 MHz to 806 MHz is prohibited in the U.S. beginning June 12, 2010. |
The Gateway Singers have to purchase three new wireless microphone systems. Three of our four wireless mikes operate on frequencies that are now illegal to use. The 700 Mhz frequencies have been given (sold) by the FCC (US Gov't) to support emergency vehicles. After June 12, 2010, anyone caught using the 700 Mhz frequencies is subject to a $2,500 fine.
The fourth wireless headset mike that Don sings with is 12 years old so it's getting very tired. So we think it wise to replace all four wireless mikes.
Four wireless systems will cost our ministry around $1,800 - $2,000, at dealer cost. We are asking you, our friends, to help us with a designated love-gift to help off-set these unexpected, non-budgeted items. Thank you. All donations to Gateway Singers Ministry, Inc. are tax deductable with the I.R.S.
We thank our friends who financially and prayerfully support our ministry each month. We can assure you that its the small consistent love-gift that keep the Gateway Singers Ministry on the road. No gift is too small to be helpful. Thank you for partnering with us as we take our 41 year "ministry of encouragement" across America. And we thank the churches who support us through their missions program. Outside support is vital to our work for Jesus being able to continue to impact the hearts of listeners. Your love-gifts make it possible for our two-family team to travel, sing, preach, teach seminars, and be available to serve the Lord.
2010 is the Gateway Singers 41th year of ministry. That's definitely a long time to have the same people on the same team working together. People often ask us, “How and/or why have you continued to travel, sing, teach, and preach for so long?” Here are four reasons why we remain active in ministry and look to the future.
a) We feel a divine calling. God has opened doors for us to share the good news across America, often to hundreds and even thousands at a time.
b) ’We've been given the challenge and responsibility of sharing God’s love, His truth, and His promises to many who will come listen to us sing.
c) All four of us have an inner passion for our “ministry of encouragement”, “We have different gifts, according to the grace given us … if it is encouraging, let him encourage…” (Romans 12:6a, 8a)
d) The Lord has blessed us to continue through the goodness of God’s people -- which also is another gift, found in Romans 12:8, “…if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously.”
Two things for your consideration:
1) We ask you to prayerfully consider including Gateway Singers Ministry Inc. in your personal and/or church's missions budget in 2010. Financially, we know that times are difficult for everyone. All contributions are 100% tax deductible as GSMI is a RECOGNIZED non-profit organization by the IRS. GSMI EIN # is listed at the bottom of our home page.
2) We ask you to look at or have your minister look at the church's future calendar and find a time in your programming to invite the Gateway Singers to return / come to your congregation on our 41st tour.
2009 we witnessed several people responding to God's invitation and people being baptized into Christ. We receive numerous e-mails and personal positive comments from people attending our presentations about of how they have been encouraged and blessed because of our ministry.
We specialize in:
Family Renewals, Spiritual Emphasis, sing and speak at banquets, do seniors events, worship hours, fill in for the minister or worship leader when on vacation, praise concerts, town celebrations, church in the park, old fashioned revivals, marriage enrichments, Coping with Crisis seminars, worship for conventions and conference, etc.
Thank you for your responding to these two humble requests. Your prayers, love, friendship, and support of our ministry mean allot to us. The Lord willing we plan to continue because of fiends like you who believe in us and our work for Jesus Christ. PTL!
